Right in the heart of Alsace, near Colmar, Josmeyer wine estate was founded in 1854 by Aloyse Meyer. Aloyse decided to extend his father’s activities in the wine trade by becoming a negociant and set about extending the reputation of the best local terroirs. After several generations, two sisters pursued the family heritage in 2009. Isabelle as the winemaker and Celine as the estate manager.

Since 2000, the vineyard is kept in organic and biodynamic culture. It consists of 90 plots of about 25 hectares; located in plains or on hills- including the famous “Gran Crus” hills; namely, Hengst and Brand.
